Petra ESC (Energy Saving and Conservation) system is uniquely designed to enhance energy savings and to produce optimal reduction in power consumption.

The ESC system consist of Petra Heat Pump Water Source (indoor unit) which operates in either heating or cooling mode to provide the required comfort conditions to the application space.

The ESC system is made up of a closed loop of water, therefore any loss of water is highly unlikely.

Compared to other HVAC systems, Petra ESC system has a higher COP in both heating and cooling.

Also, the ESC system is suitable for multistory and high rise buildings (apartments, hotels, schools, hospitals, and offices).

Petra ESC system is designed to eliminate power sharing problems between different occupants, because each user has his own indoor unit and pump. Therefore, each individual electricity reflects leads to actual power consumption per user Another advantage of the ESC system is during mild seasons such as spring and fall, where occupants on the sunny side and interior of the building operate the ESC system in cooling mode and occupants in the shady side of the building operate the ESC system in heating mode. This case provides a form of heat recovery and produces great energy savings in addition to increasing the COP significantly.

  • Installation requirements:
    • Petra Dry Cooler (PDC) outdoor unit
    • Petra Water Source (PWSP4) indoor units
    • Pumping cabinet
    • Water pipes (supply and return between indoor and outdoor), could be pex-pipe (recommended or black steel or other proper pipes

Outdoor Unit:

    • Galvanized C-channel steel base with lifting lugs painted with Acrylic Polyurethane Enamel that offers excellent coverage, and a highly durable gloss and hardness to the base surface in order to protect it against outside affects.
    • Heavy duty mounting chassis for the whole unit, coated with weatherproof, polyester powder electrostatic paint, oven-baked to ensure maximum gloss and hardness
    • Coils are manufactured from seamless copper tubes mechanically expanded into aluminum fins
    • All coils are air pressure tested at 450 Psi (3,100 kPa), under water to avoid leakage. They also undergo dry chemical cleaning after manufacturing for optimum system cleanness
    • All condenser fans are of the propeller (axial) type which are directly mounted on the motor’s shaft
    • All fans motors are premium efficiency totally enclosed, air-cooled, permanently lubricated induction type motors
    • Supply and return headers on dry cooler: Headers are seamless copper pipes epoxy painted after being cleaned, to maintain pipe material and brazing protected against all external conditions
    • Booster pump (one or two)
    • Pressure switch to control booster pump operation, by measuring the pressure drop across dry cooler inlet and outlet
    • External overload for each dry cooler fan motor

Indoor Unit:

    • Easily accessible system components
    • Heavy duty mounting chassis for the whole unit, coated with weatherproof, polyester powder electrostatic paint, oven-baked to ensure maximum gloss and hardness
    • Anti-vibration mounts under compressor (rubber pad type)
    • Compressor jacket to isolate compressor noise.
