26 Apr Petra Celebrates the Conclusion of the “Ozone Depleting Gases” Project

Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Taher Shaksheer, minister of the Environment, Petra Engineering Industries celebrated the conclusion of its project for ending the use of ozone depleting gases project.

The celebration was attended by the G.M. of the “Jordan Institute of Standards and Metrology” (JISM) Dr. Haidar Alzaben, Project Manager from UN Mr. Guillermo Castella and other guests, and from Petra Engineering Industries, Mr. Osama Hussain General Manager, Mr. Omar Abu Wishah Deputy General Manager, Mr. Oma Ali, Operations Manager and the project manager Mr. Samir Hamed and other Petra engineers involved in the implementation of this project.

Mr. Omar Abu Wishah has stressed that the implementation of this protocol in the production of environmentally friendly HVACR units in Petra’s facilities was the highest priority, and with the implementation of this protocol Petra has become one of the World leading companies in producing high efficiency and environmentally friendly units.

On his part H.E. Dr. Shakhsheer stressed the active rolehis ministry has in helping Jordanian companies comply with this protocol. Also Dr. Zaben from JISM said that these protocols will help the Jordanian industries reach new markets Worldwide. Finally Mr. Castella from UN thanked the Ministry of the Environment and Petra Engineering Industries for its commitment to this project and its implementation in their production processes.
